Team
You will join a close-knit team that helps and respects one another. Short lines of communication. You do what you say and say what you do. We undertake many activities together, such as a monthly geek session, a quarterly team outing with the entire company, the annual ‘Friends & Family BBQ’, and The Networkers Holiday to a special destination (North Cape, Iceland, Dubai, etc.). You will be coached by the Operations Manager and CTO.
Due to our success, we are growing rapidly. To expand our team, we are looking for the best candidates for the following position:
Your responsibilities:
- Pre-sales: supporting our IT partners and end customers with advice. You assist with the quotation process and prepare architecture and design recommendations together with your colleagues;
Consultancy: translating needs and requirements into a suitable solution; - Design: designing network/security infrastructures;
- Action plan: writing a step-by-step plan for a structured network rollout without unnecessary disruption;
- Implementation, configuration, and onsite aftercare;
- Providing documentation of developments and changes;
As a network engineer / consultant, you work in a dynamic part of the ICT sector. Networks never stand still and develop rapidly. You design, implement, and manage our customers’ networks. From wireless to data centers, nothing is impossible. From networks with a few components to entire hospitals, municipalities, and schools. In addition to networking, the security aspect is also covered. Matters such as 802.1x, firewalling, and certificates align one-on-one with the networking services.
Your work as a network engineer / consultant is as dynamic as the environment in which you work. One moment you are creating a design for a healthcare institution, the next you are involved in a complex troubleshooting job on wireless in a hospital. No two days are the same in the world of networking.
Your profile:
- You work and think at a Bachelor’s level; you have relevant networking certifications or are willing to obtain them.
- You are an expert in your field: you have at least 5 years of experience in networking, management & support, or security. All-rounders are also welcome!
- You have extensive experience in writing design documents (high-level and low-level design) and advising customers.
- You are proficient with firewalls.
- You enjoy working on constantly changing projects.
- You want to continue developing your own know-how in your specialization and enjoy working with new products.
- You are a team player through and through with a proactive attitude and a commercial mindset.
- You are solution-oriented in your thinking and actions.
- You communicate clearly and establish contact easily.
- You are committed and decisive: you stand by your work.
- And of course, you speak and write Dutch well.
